Children's Ministries: Preschool - 6th grade
We are aware that during the early years, children are forming attitudes and impressions toward God, his Word and the church. We want children to enjoy church. Our goal is to provide trustworthy, loving care and education for the children in our programs, as we challenge them to come to know that Jesus loves them. Sunday School (nursery - 6th grade) is available during both services unless otherwise noted.
Nursery Infants – age 3
The nursery is located downstairs near our playground. Enter by walking past our office, then turn left and go through the gates to the backyard. The nursery is the third door on your left.
All babies must be signed in and out of the nursery. Our cuddle care team consists of two regular employees as well as 1 to 2 volunteers to help during services.

Sunday School – age 3 to 6th grade
Sunday school children will stay with their parents for approximately fifteen minutes of worship. The children are then invited to the front of the church for a children’s story and prayer. The children and our Sunday school teachers then leave the sanctuary and all walk together to the classrooms, again, near the playground for Sunday school.
After services, parents need to walk down to the classrooms to pick up your children. Don Ebberts is always in the back area by our classrooms should you have any questions or concerns.
Children's Choir Programs
Canyon Hills offers three choirs for children Preschool through sixth grade. The Cherub choir is for children ages 3-5years of age. Our Carol choir is for children Kindergarten through third grade. Our Kirk choir is for children 4th through 6th grade.
The children’s choirs sing 4 times during our normal worship services and participate in our Children’s pageant and a Spring musical. Rehearsals are Thursdays 4pm-6pm, September- May. Children’s choir programs include music, a fellowship dinner and game/craft time
