Children should learn from an early age that the church is a safe place and a fun place and a place to learn. CHPC Children’s Ministries strives to keep this spirit alive and growing in our children with weekly Sunday School and many special events throughout the year.
Leslie Berger, Minister of Music
1992-present. Oversees five music programs at Canyon Hills Presbyterian church. Enjoys playing the Celtic harp, hiking and reading. AA Saddleback College, BA, MFA, Single and Multiple Subject Credential, University of California, Irvine.
Matthew Davis, Organist
Matt Davis is a member of AGO (American Guild of Organists) and NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing).
He has attended Manhattan School of Music and California State University Long Beach majoring in Vocal Performance. He has studied piano with celebrated Jazz artists, Mike LeDonne, Tamir Hendelman, Sarah Jane Cion and studies Vocal Jazz and Piano with Michele Weir at UCLA. Matt previously studied Organ with Esther Jones (Concordia Lutheran University) and currently studies Pipe Organ with Alison Leudeke, International Concert Organist and Organist at St. James by the Sea Episcopal Church in La Jolla, CA.

Joan manages all the little details that keep things ticking. She has worked in the office for 12 years and has been a member of CHPC for 27 years.
